Therapy

Can therapy help?

In a word, yes! Therapy can help you in various ways. You may want to change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour that cause you distress; you may want to understand yourself or those around you better, or come to terms with a life-changing event.

Making a decision to embark on therapy can feel daunting. We are happy to offer a free telephone consultation to think about your needs, and to answer any questions you may have.

How does therapy help?

In our view, therapy is about having a confidential, warm and supportive space to work through your concerns at your own pace.  The reasons people come to therapy are varied. You may have a specific, nameable problem such as depression, anxiety or bereavement. You may be experiencing relationship problems at home or at work. You may be struggling with a lack of direction in your life, or be grappling with issues from the past.

Therapy can help you in various ways.  You may want to change unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour that cause you distress.  You may want to understand yourself and those around you better, or come to terms with a life-changing event.

Depending on what your difficulty is, you may opt for a time-limited, problem-focussed therapy, where we work towards specific goals or you may opt for a longer term, exploratory approach.

Making a decision to seek help can sometimes feel daunting.  We offer a free, no obligation, telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have.  We would be happy to hear from you.
